Reading 961: Effective Reading

Fall 2009 Semester Reading 961 Class Schedule

Section 81943      MW    9:20 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.      Main Building, Room W3-301

Class Description

Reading 961 is a 3.0 unit class designed for students who wish to improve their reading skills. My hope is that this course will enable them to improve their reading habits, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

This course is intended to offer them the opportunity to work on developing analytical reading strategies, building upon their own prior experience, insights, and observations. It is my intent that my students in this class will learn how to use critical thinking strategies that are required in college-level reading and assignments at Mission College and at other universities.
