For my reading classes, I expect you to find assigned magazine and professional journal articles on a regular basis. The primary tool for finding these articles will be the Expanded Academic ASAP database, which is a search engine that searchs only through published magazine and professional journals. This database is a private database, only available to colleges, libraries, and businesses that subscribe to it. Mission College subscribes to it, so students in my classes can use it. For the first part of the semester, these articles will be assigned by me.
For the last part of the semester, you will search for articles on your own, based upon topics discussed in class. For Reading 53 students:
