You have three textbook choices. You may purchase the online textbook from the publisher (about $65). Or, you may purchase the online textbook plus a printed textbook (3-hole punch) from the publisher (about $65 plus $35). Or, you may purchase the printed textbook (bound) with online access code from the Mission College Bookstore (about $150 for 1A only, or $200 for 1A/1B). I recommend purchasing the online textbook now, then upgrading to the 3-hole punch printed version if your eyes get tired of reading online.
See the course syllabus (link below) for instructions for purchasing the textbook. | Outline of Topics to be Covered: This introductory course in Accounting will give you both a theoretical understanding and application of that understanding using real world situations. This will include understanding in vocabulary, financial statements, the accounting cycle including adjusting entries and closing entries, accounting information systems, cash, internal control, accounts and notes receivable, merchandise inventory, plant assets and depreciation, current liabilities, payroll accounting, the time value of money, generally accepted accounting principles, and ethics. After satisfactory completion of this course you will be able to properly maintain sets of books for both service and merchandising businesses.
