Course Description:

This is an 8-week (10/27/2008-12/17/2008) online course with regular on campus meetings, MW 12:40pm-2:45pm. This section utilizes Course Compass powered by My Math Lab. Please refer to the syllabus to learn how to access Course Compass. You will log on to course compass website to submit homework, quizzes online, communicate with me and the rest of the class and etc.

Orientation Schedule:

You must attend the first day of class, Oct 27th from 12:00pm-2:45pm on Mondays and Wednesdays in room MT-14.

On Campus Requirements:

This section meets from 12:00pm-12:45pm on Mondays and Wednesdays in room MT-14 starting Oct 27th.

Exam Requirements and Location:

Online quizzes, 2 on-campus exams and 1 final exam.

Prerequisites:

Math 903 (Elementary Algebra)

Advisories:

Strong self-motivation and good time management skills. You should spend a minimum of four hours everyday, seven days a week to succeed in this class.

Required Books & Materials:

Textbook: Elementary and Intermediate Algebra by George Woodbury with MyMathLab access code ($105.00) Do not buy a used book. If you already have a book, but do not have a MyMthLab access code, you must buy a MyMathLab access code (about $57.00)separately also.

Computer: PC or Mac with internet access is required. Also, a scientific calculator with a LOG key is required.
