Orientation Schedule: Orientation is held on Monday 7/14, 7pm-8pm in room E2-202. If you fully understand the information in the syllabus and can sucessfully log on to the Coursecompass site, you don't need to attend the orientation.
On Campus Requirements: Three additional meetings for on campus exams and final exam, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursdays on 7/24, 8/7 and 8/21 in room MT-04.
Exam Requirements and Location: Online quizzes, 2 on-campus exams and 1 final exam from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursdays on 7/24, 8/7 and 8/21 in room MT-04.
Prerequisites: Math 903 (Elementary Algebra)
Advisories: Strong self-motivation and good time management skills. You should spend a minimum of five hours everyday, seven days a week to succeed in this class.
Required Books & Materials: Textbook: Elementary and Intermediate Algebra by George Woodbury with MyMathLab access code. Do not buy a used book. If you already have a book, but do not have a MyMathLab access code, you must buy a MyMathLab access code ($57.00)separately also. Computer: Students must have access to a Window-based PC and access to the internet. Macintosh does not support MyMathLab. Minimum computer system requirement: Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Internet Explorer 6.0/7.0 (Netscape, Firefox, AOL, and other browsers not supported.) Also, a calculator with a LOG key is required. Plug-ins: Successful installation of all plug-ins and players to access the multimedia content in the course.
