Course Description: This 7-week course and textbook are designed to be a user-friendly yet comprehensive study of basic accounting concepts, principles and procedures. The course is conducted ENTIRELY online except for the optional orientation session on campus. Accounting 21A will probably be useful to you if you do not have time or interest for a full-semester accounting course, and:
* You have never studied accounting and want learn basic skills, or
* You have had difficulty with a full-semester introductory accounting class, or
* You want to improve accounting-related job skills. |

• Wealth and claims on wealth
• Accounting entities
• Event /transaction analysis (extensively covered)
• Financial statements and the elements of the statements
• Financial statement articulation
• The conceptual framework of accounting
• Debits, credits, and an introduction to the procedures used
in a traditional accounting system.
