Both sessions cover the same material. | On Campus Requirements: We will meet on campus five (5) times during the semester, for orientation at the begining of the semester, a review session prior to the first midterm, two midterm exams, and a final exam. You may attend the orientation and review session at either 3pm or 7pm. Both sessions cover the same material. Midterm and final exams may be taken at 3pm or 5pm or 7pm. | Outline of Topics to be Covered: This introductory course in Accounting will give you both a theoretical understanding and application of that understanding using real world situations. This will include understanding in vocabulary, financial statements, the accounting cycle including adjusting entries and closing entries, accounting information systems, cash, internal control, accounts and notes receivable, merchandise inventory, plant assets and depreciation, current liabilities, payroll accounting, the time value of money, generally accepted accounting principles, and ethics. After satisfactory completion of this course you will be able to properly maintain sets of books for both service and merchandising businesses.
